I haven’t written anything since September! That alone just reinforces how busy it is working full time and having a 4 year old and a 4 1/2 month old baby. Time is flying by, but in a way that I don’t necessarily mind or that makes me feel like I will start freaking out.
Life has been a big transition in the past three months. I’ve definitely gotten the hang of having two kids, and I’m absolutely in love with having a baby around. It’s amazing to watch the beginning months of a baby’s life when they’re starting to look around and learn how to move. Every time that I think about Apollo’s smile or laugh, I’m immediately in a state of bliss. Luna is amazing with her brother, and they adore each other. Apollo will shriek with delight whenever Luna is around and talks to him, and Apollo has a wonderful calming effect on Luna. If money wasn’t an object, I would easily have many more children.
I can already tell that Apollo is really intelligent. He is really aware of his surroundings and he is incredibly interactive with me and Fred. He loves kisses, snuggles, and looking at himself in the mirror. He already fits in size 6 month clothing and tries to sit up on his own. I imagine he’ll be talking and walking pretty early so that he can keep up with Luna.
I honestly don’t have any new year’s resolutions. I like to think life is a continual process of working on myself and trying to improve my life. 2014 was a really great year for me, and I’d like to continue to work hard and try to reach some more of my career goals. I can tell that I’m almost there, and I’m looking forward to my next challenge. Fred and I celebrated five years of marriage, and I’m really proud of how far we’ve come in the past year alone. We’ve both been working really hard to get to this point, and I can’t wait to see what this year brings.
