I’ve recently been obsessed with smoothies and acai bowls. They’re a relatively easy and extremely nutritious breakfast or snack. You can also put as many toppings as you want and change it up to create different taste combinations!
Basic Acai Bowl Recipe
1 single packet of frozen açaí (I use the frozen açaí packets from Sambazon)
1-2 frozen bananas
1/3 cup of milk (I use almond milk)
Topping ideas: strawberries, bananas, blueberries, raw cacao nibs, granola, almonds, or anything you desire!
Place the frozen banana, açaí packet and the milk of your choice in a blender. Blend until the consistency is thick enough that it won’t slip off a spoon and your toppings will sit on top of the bowl and not sink in. Pick your toppings and enjoy!
Note: I cut the banana, place it in a ziploc bag, and put it in the freezer over night. It makes it a lot easier to blend it with the frozen açaí packet and create the right consistency for the base of the bowl.
