I can’t believe my baby boy is already six months old! Time is going by so much faster with a second child, but it’s been incredible and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Apollo is a breast-feeding machine! He still wakes up a few times to eat in the middle of the night, but he goes right back to sleep and it doesn’t even feel like I have to wake up. It feels more like sleep nursing. We started giving him solids a few weeks ago because he was drooling every time we ate around him, he would try to grab everyone’s food, and he definitely wasn’t getting full enough on just breast milk. His favorite food so far is sweet potatoes.
He’s moving around a lot. He will roll over from his belly to his back, kick his feet like crazy, and he flails his arms in a way that Fred says he looks like he’s rowing a boat. It’s too cute!
He grabs at everything, especially hair! He will pull on Fred’s beard and ears, my hair, Luna’s hair, and even his own hair! He’s also incredibly sweet and will put his hands on my face and lean in for a kiss. It melts my heart every time.
He tries to pull up from a laying position into a sitting position. It looks like he’s doing crunches, but he is definitely determined to get up when you lay him down.
He has certainly found his voice! He yells, giggles, shrieks, babbles, fake coughs, you name it! He will make it clear when he wants your attention by flat-out yelling at you until you look at him. He’s going to be just like Luna… a non-stop talker!
He adores his sister and they’re quickly becoming best friends. Apollo just loves being around her and playing with her. She easily makes him laugh, can calm him down with her voice, and they entertain each other all day. It makes me feel happier than I thought was possible when I see them together. They have such a wonderful bond already and I can’t wait to see what happens as they grow up together.
