I’ve tried every product that Beyond Meat makes! They have plant-based chicken strips, beef crumbles and burgers. What I enjoy the most about their products is that they’re seasoned so well that you can add them to a ton of different recipes and they bring so much flavor and texture. Fred and I make Luna gluten-free pasta with a beef crumble pasta sauce and she absolutely loves it.
I’m personally addicted to the chicken strips! I add them to salads, sandwiches and stir fry mixes, but will also frequently just eat them straight from the package- they’re that good!
The company is also very transparent with their ingredients, which I know a lot of vegetarians and vegans appreciate. On the beastly slider packaging, the ingredients state that the palm oil is certified sustainable, and that the cane sugar is vegan. It’s nice when a company does the extra leg work for you so you can feel confident when eating and purchasing their product. There is also a nutritional comparison between the slider and lean ground beef and salmon.
For lunch, I made the beastly slider on gluten-free bread, with red leaf lettuce, field roast coconut and herb chao cheese, a raw turmeric mustard and half an avocado. It was delicious!
