Today was one of the most beautiful days I’ve experienced in DC. The weather was perfect, not too hot or too cold, and all of the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Today was the last day of the Cherry Blossom Festival, and although I really wanted to go, Fred said he knew some neighborhoods that had a ton of cherry blossoms that wouldn’t be crowded and where I could take pictures in peace. We went to the most gorgeous neighborhood I’ve ever seen. It looked like something out of a British movie, with Shakespearean architecture and amazing trees. The houses easily cost over $1 million, but it’s nice to escape into a dream land for a little bit and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
We also went to one of our favorite vegan spots in DC, Sticky Fingers. They offer an incredible selection of vegan pastries, salads, sandwiches, milkshakes, coffee, you name it! They even won Cupcake Wars on the Food Network a few times. If you’re ever in the DC area, I highly recommend that you check them out!
