Every year growing up, my family would take a week long trip to a family camping spot in Pennsylvania. Some of my favorite memories there were looking for the perfect twig to roast marshmallows over a big bonfire late at night with my friends. I loved the smell and thought that life couldn’t get any better than spending that week every year with my friends. Over the past couple of years, I haven’t been able to make that trip because of work, being pregnant, or having a newborn baby. The weather lately reminds me of the rainy days in PA, and it worked out perfectly that Apollo was napping so that Luna and I could make some gluten-free s’mores. We used vegan marshmallows and vegan dark chocolate, but the Pamela’s cinnamon graham crackers have honey and butter in them. These can be swapped out for a vegan version to make this totally vegan.
Now that we’re all in sugar overload, I think we’ll be sticking to vegetables for the rest of the day! What were your favorite treats as a kid?
