I was so excited when I found out that Starbucks changed the ingredients in their pumpkin spice latte. It actually has real pumpkin in it and not just artificial pumpkin flavor. I was happy and loved to treat myself once in a while with a PSL, until the barista said that the mix has dairy in it. WTF? While I do eat dairy, I try not to over-do it, and I really do not like it in my coffee, so I really try to avoid going to Starbucks now. Although, lately I’ve had a serious caffeine probably because Apollo DOES NOT sleep at night (teething toddler), and I really need to get back in control of how much coffee I’m drinking. Instead of spending all of my money on a super sugary and overpriced coffee, I made a homemade PSL and it was seriously so easy to make! Let’s check it out.
You can add whatever spices you would use in a pumpkin pie recipe if you want this to be more of that taste, but I personally think that cinnamon compliments the pumpkin just fine!
