Vegan marble banana bread that is made with gluten-free flour, organic cocoa powder and lots of love!
Happy weekend, Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day or Treat Yourself Right Day – all depending on when you read this post and what you’re celebrating! If you’re looking for an easy way to show someone you love them through baking, then check out my banana bread recipe! It’s the first thing that I ever made for my husband when we first met many moons ago, and it’s still my favorite thing to bake. The marble banana bread makes your entire house smell incredible and it tastes amazing paired with warm turmeric milk or even a home-made tea latte! If you want to be extra wild you could probably dunk this bad boy in your coffee, which I plan on doing tomorrow morning.
I used my banana bread recipe as the base and added in some organic cocoa powder and a handful of pecans. The pecans add a nice crunch in the middle of each slice of bread, and if you don’t mix the cocoa powder in completely, you can make a pretty marble effect. I’m not traditional at all when it comes to holidays and gift giving, and my idea of showing someone how much I love them is baking them something sweet and delicious. I also prefer a delicious meal over any other type of gift, because I’m obviously obsessed with food. Happy (7th?)Valentine’s Day, Frederick – I love you every single day of the year, not just February 14th!
If you have some extra time this weekend, you could make some incredible chocolate coconut sunflower butter, 3 ingredient truffles or even home-made vegan chocolate! Will you be baking anything special this weekend?
- What are your plans for the holiday?
- Will you be spending it with your friends, with a significant other or doing something completely different?
