Apollo the destroyer. He has mastered the art of destruction and chaos. He started to walk about the same week as his first birthday, and very quickly figured out how to walk and almost run. He also figured out how to open our bathroom cabinets and loves to throw all of my make up, brushes and hair products all over the place. It seems like it’s his favorite thing to do other than opening every drawer in the kitchen.
He can say mama, daddy and Peppa Pig! I’m not sure how Peppa Pig became his first word other than mama and daddy, but it’s really cute to hear him say it. He also has his own language and points and babbles at everything in sight.
He has four of his top teeth and two on the bottom, but more coming in, which has made night-time nursing my life. He wakes up at least 4-5 times a night to comfort nurse back to sleep and likes to shove his hand up my nose and cover my mouth, so I can’t breathe, but he can sleep. I’m not sure how long this phase will last, but he usually just falls right back to sleep so it hasn’t bothered me too much. Yes, we’re still breastfeeding and I’m still pumping at work, but he doesn’t seem too interested in bottles anymore. He has started to really enjoy eating and his favorite food is by far spaghetti. He will eat tons at a time and basically sings the entire time because he loves it so much. He also really likes eggs, black beans, avocado, mango and yogurt.
He’s full of energy and loves to act like a crazy little goblin, but he’s super sweet and affectionate. He’s the best little guy!
